Dr. Alyssa Ryan is a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering at Michigan State University. Previously, she was an Assistant Professor of Civil & Architectural Engineering & Mechanics at the University of Arizona. Her research group focuses on leveraging advanced technologies and data analytics to address the safety and economic challenges faced by transportation agencies and communities. The Ryan Research Group conducts research on human factors, community needs, safety, and applications of advanced technologies and has seen several projects through from conceptualization to publication, completing every step from the employment of equipment (e.g., drones, driving simulators) to data analytics of real-world datasets.
